Be a go-to information security specialist
As our new information security officer, you will be responsible for information security management in GN Hearing within the overall GN information security framework. Thus, you ensure that products live up to legal requirements related to information security and data privacy, and you represent GN Hearing within the GN information security community.

In particular, you:
• Participate in the GN information security management team, contributing to the overall information security strategy and supporting its implementation
• Act as a standard bearer for personal data protection and work with R&D project teams to provide expert advice, drive risk assessment and ensure compliance of our product and service releases
• Coordinate and communicate across GN Hearing to identify and align requirements and priorities, including deployment of processes
• Ensure GN Hearing compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by implementing GN Group controls in GN Hearing processes, and by defining GN Hearing specific controls
• Maintain our information security management system, participate in audits, monitor the incident process and engage in implementing mitigating actions (e.g. developing controls)
• Support marketing and sales organisations on data privacy and information security, and support the data protection officer with data classification, processing, requests and reporting

Do you have what it takes to make GN Hearing even more successful?
• You have deep knowledge of and proven experience with information security work, standards and regulations (including ISO 27001) as well as data protection (including EU GDPR, HIPAA).
• Holding a CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification will be an advantage
• To be able to provide input on best practice and processes, you need to have solid experience from IT operations and development.
• You have understanding of quality systems, IT systems and processes within information security.
• Experience or knowledge of working in a regulated industry with patient data (e.g. the medical devices and pharma areas) is a definite advantage.
• You hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (IT, information security, or similar).
• You have good project management experience and can drive change projects in organizations.
• You speak and write English fluently.

This is a role, where you need experience to put weight behind your words. You take a stance on what is good enough and what is not and draw a line respectfully, e.g. when information security adjustments need to be made. Thus, you know how to walk a fine line between collaboration and standing your ground on critical issues. Finally, you have personal drive, great communication and influencer skills, and an analytical and structured approach to your work.
