You will join the leadership team of Software Solutions and Verification and work with all aspects of the Systems Verification. This involves strategy, planning, test case development, test execution and defect verification. In parallel to the ongoing verification activities you will drive a change project shifting the balance between manual and automated testing. Furthermore, developing the team, the working mode and individual contribution will be fundamental for success.

You will support our programs executed from GN Hearing’s different locations, e.g. in Xiamen, China, JB Malaysia, Bloomington and Chicago, USA, Hyderabad, India and Ballerup and Præstø, Denmark.

Job responsibilities
The primary function as Systems Verification Manager is to be the direct manager of our team of Systems Verification Coordinators and Developers covering verification activities across hearing instruments, accessories, iOS/Android end-user apps, cloud back-end solutions and PC-based fitting software for hearing care professionals. You will be based in Ballerup and report to the head of Software Solutions and Verification.

The position involves working with:

- Estimation, planning and allocation of the team’s work for programs.
- On behalf of the team, being the interface to other teams on matters of alignment.
- Planning and defining project execution models, optimizing the use of internal staff as well as external contractors through nearshoring or offshoring.

- Development talks and one-on-one’s focusing on short and long term.
- Performance evaluation, recruitment and separation.
- Common improvement projects (procedures, guidelines, documentation, tools, practices)
- Change management of shift from mostly manual to mostly automated test execution in support of our increasingly more agile development mode.

- On behalf of the team, being the interface to suppliers.
- Manage capacity, performance and quality adherence of nearshore and offshore suppliers.
- Budget estimation and adherence.

Preferred candidate
We are looking for an experienced manager able to work in an international environment towards internal as well as external customers:
- Education as an engineer, MSc or PhD.
- Certified in ISTQB, PMI, Scrum and/or other relevant.
- 10+ years as Test Manager, Team Leader and/or Technical Software Project Leader.
- Programming and scripting languages, associated technologies and structured design.
- Test strategy, planning, design, execution and reporting.
- Implementation of test automation frameworks.
- Testing of system solutions involving embedded devices, smartphone / PC applications and web-services / back-end systems.
- Passionate about quality, usability and the use of best practices, methodologies and modern tools.
- Experience with people leadership, presentation skills and interaction with customers and partners.
- Ability to work and travel globally with several different cultures, up to 40 days of travel per year.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, desire for continuous improvements and focused on completion.
- Team-oriented, good communication and cooperation skills.
- Excellent English, both spoken and written.
