Main purpose of the position:
To lead mechanical parts process maturity review and coordinate part & process approval (PPA), ensure supplier has set up consistent and stable manufacturing process to deliver high quality parts through product whole lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
GN Audio is a world leading intelligent audio solution provider, MPE works as a team member to great product development and support on Mechanical commodity strategy implementation.

Take the responsibility for holding GNA’s requirements training to supplier including PPA, build report, and other GNA’s requirement and procedure.
Participate in concept review for the selected projects (incl. technology projects), assess the NUD process, lead and drive certain new process technology study in early phase.

Coordinate Visual Quality development together with CMF/ID expert and R&D Mech to set up visual quality criteria through Color, Glossy and texture Golden and limit samples.

Proactively participate in DFM review and focus on below key items.

• Identify the potential risk of tool fabrication and manufacturing process.
• Work with mechanical specialist to set up initial Yield and cycle time target.
• Be responsible for review material packaging method.
Lead and drive PPA, tool and process approval & re-approval
• Initiate tool Capex, release tool P/O and maintain the received work in P2P.
• Drive supplier to submit build report, action list, FAI, CPK etc. reports on time.
• Review FAI, Cpk, build report, manufacturing SOP with Mechanical designer and drive improvement actions.
• Initiate mechanical process maturity report and coordinate cross-functional review by involving mechanical designer, PQM, SQM and IPM.Present the status reports to stakeholders
• Review and approve packaging method to ensure which can well protect parts and can comply with supplier assembly requirement (i.e. SMT process)
• Coordinate tool or process approval &re-approval with mechanical designer and SQM support, release approval reports in Agile and inform Finance to arrange payment.
• Support SQM to carry out PSO for CTQ and NUD part or process, monitor the output and quality.
• Coordinate cosmetic criteria and measurement method alignment between suppliers with PQM and SQM.
• Technical Support for mechanical part manufacturing incl. Support for ALT & DVT test and analysis of failures in ALT & DVT.

Take the responsibility of tool management to ensure sufficient capacity in Mechanical supplier to support on GNA product delivery through product lifecycle.

Escalation point and owner for tooling modification and/or manufacturing process changes during NPI and MP.

Supplier process/engineering performance evaluation to drive continuous improvement.

Professional skills:
• Mechanical Engineering experience with Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer product industry (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, mechanical part/tool development or NPI quality engineering for mechanics) with strong process knowledge and visual quality insight for NCVM, anodizing, painting and moulding parts.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in projects with international customers and medium to high volume production and/or R&D.
• Supplier quality management skills, ISO9000, 6 Sigma
Travel Requirements:
• Most work will be in China, primarily in the Guang Dong area.
• Frequently travel to GN Tier2 suppliers in the area. Expected 1 international travels (1-2 weeks each) per year to participate in GN Product Development Projects.
