Material Project Manager

The position will be an individual contributor and act in ¡°Non- People Manager¡± Role.

Job Responsibilities,

Material Project Manager plays a crucial role in material readiness both in NPI and MP projects. Responsible for working with Tier 1 vendors to ensure adequate materials are in place to cover GNA demand. Ensure timely escalation to cover shortage items to Global Material Management team, so they can be worked on. Must stay on top of the latest demand and availability and always work ahead of shortages.

Material Management for both NPI and Sustaining projects:
1. Responsibility for material readiness for all builds (Proto, Alpha, Beta, Pilot + MP) and material buffer.
2. Facilitate and drive cross functional material meetings including suppliers.
3. Monitor and follow up on ECO/ECR¡¯s.
4. Ensure PO¡¯s placed to T1 and T2 and follow up on deliveries according to project plan.
5. Ensure Bill of Materials is correct and initiate Risk Buy if/when needed.
6. Identify issues early and monitor/drive these to resolution prior to ramp/production.
7. Ensure timely shortages escalation to Global Material Management team.
8. Weekly monitor and update of Forecast.
9. Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Global Material Management (GMM) to make sure we allocate parts to the highest benefit to the company.
10. Involve all relevant stakeholders on allocation plan.
11. Build and maintain reports and summaries on a regular (weekly/daily) basis. Ensure data is accurate and on time. So that we can see clearly on the latest developments.

Launch and Capacity Planning ¨C these areas will be migrated to SCM MP team:
1. Manage ramp Up Plan/Production plan to align with Sales requirement and demand.
2. Plan the right capacity ¨C both T1 and T2 capacity should be covered.
3. Inputs to and participate Go to Market review meetings.
4. PO placements and follow up on delivery dates (AX).
5. Weekly commitments of product availability to Management and Sales.
6. Ensure a thorough Hand Over to Supply Planning team.
7. Weekly review the Supply vs Demand status (WBR).
8. Weekly update of NPI projects status.
9. Monthly score of T1 suppliers on their performance.

Excess and Obsolete Analysis and Closure - during NPI phases:
1. Responsible for Excess and Obsolete cost analysis.
2. Take actions with cross functional partners and suppliers to reduce risk and cost.
3. Release PO to cover those excess and obsolete costs, make sure they are cleared up before passing to sustaining side.

Job Requirements,

1. Bachelor degree in supply chain management or business related.
2. Solid Supply Chain and/or Procurement background with at least 3 -5 years documented experience.
3. Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness, Fluent in English and Mandarin.
4. Display very strong sense of Drive and Ambition whilst simultaneously being Humble and Pragmatic.
5. Proven track record in developing, maintaining, and building relationships with external suppliers.
6. Proactive, team- oriented and strong self- learning skill.
